Your class was fun, informative and I've already tried one of your suggestions.

Thank you so much, Sayle! Your class was fun, informative and I've already tried one of your suggestions: Alsatian Riesling. Who knew a girl fully committed to bold reds, scotch and hoppy beer could ever love a Riesling?! Alas, I still have to get better at saving labels :)

I really never thought I could taste wine or understand it . . .

Thank YOU for an incredible evening! I really never thought I could taste wine or understand it, and I feel so much more confident in articulating what I like and don't like. You were 100% right when you said wine doesn't need to be snobby and I am a convert. I'm en route now to my grandfather's 80th birthday at a fancy place in Boston, and I feel better knowing I can make a sophisticated wine choice when I get there! Seriously, your energy and knowledge are contagious in the very best way. Thank you thank you!I loved working through the wines with you and getting to ask questions throughout. That's so important. I'd love to take another one of your tasting classes.

I've been raving about your class to anyone who will listen . . .

Thank YOU! I've been raving about your class to anyone who will listen since Thursday. The class was insightful, full of information, but not preachy or snobby. I learned more about my wine preferences and how to describe them in an hour than I'd learned in years of enjoying wine. I left feeling very empowered and excited to further my wine education, and this knowledge will come in handy the next time I buy a bottle, order a glass, am out with a client, or bring a gift to a house party! I also really appreciate your being open and available for follow up questions and wine advice. You're always giving us that extra tidbit or fun fact. By the end of class, everyone wants to travel the world with you!!!!! I loved the class because you brought the seemingly elusive world of wine down to earth.  Your use of “real life” examples made wine accessible and fun!

"I've had the pleasure of receiving Sayle's knowledge of wine on multiple occasions.

As a newly hired business consultant more importantly a single 23 year-old male living in Manhattan I realized a little wine knowledge would actually go a long way. I recognized that not only would I be attending business dinners every night, but I could and would also be responsible for ordering the wine for the table. Sayle also taught me you don't have to be intimidated by wine no matter who you are. Wine should be something fun and social and if you know the basics, nothing can go wrong. I'd highly recommend taking Sayle's class. It has been very helpful as I advance in my career. "

"What I appreciated most of all was your passion and your delivery.

You made wine very approachable and not elitist, which I think is what intimidates many (including myself) from diving into learning about wine. I also appreciated the wealth of knowledge you were able to squeeze in such a short amount of time and you really hit the nail on the head with the most important things that we should be looking for in wine. I especially liked learning about “terroir”, acidity and the various aromas to be found in wine. Most of all, you really changed my opinion on red wines ( I usually stick to whites). I feel confident enough now to begin a conversation on what I like and don’t like in a wine, how to buy it, and how to order it in a restaurant."
